I love that being a photographer allows me to really capture amazing people and their true essence. Each photoshoot has been a different adventure and each individual person has a story they want to tell. I find that story telling and opening new doors is incredibly important for portrait photography because a photo shoot should be more than just taking a good looking picture. I can't put someone in a flower crown or a dress and tell them to sit pretty and smile - there has to be a reason, a purpose, and a meaning behind every photo shoot. That's what differentiates a self-expressive artistic experience from simply being provided a service.
